We are offering private courses only in the State of Colorado, more info on our private course page - we can come to your location and train only your technicians, minimum of 8 students for Colorado.
Our courses are a prep course for third party exams, for Colorado, you would need the ABPA third party exam, more info on how to schedule or more info on the exams on our Exam Prep Page
If you do not have 8 students, we understand, we have a lot of people reaching out via email and phone and it seems like they don't want a private course and just want someone to explain the whole process of getting certified to them. If you do not want a private course, please do not reach out via telephone and try to keep me on the line for 20 minutes. I would personally recommend IAPMO for their open enrollment courses, they are our direct competitors in a lot of eastern states and have a good program - their website is tricky to figure out if you find it directly on google, but I think this should take you to their schedule - https://forms.iapmo.org/seminars/bpi/ - but anyway they are the ASSE course provider that I see has been putting on a lot of classes there lately, we used to do a lot of open enrollment classes with ABPA in the state but it has been increasingly difficult to schedule the ABPA exams for open enrollment, and overall the format for them is more complicated than it needs to be with the third party monitor and proctors that they use on site.
Backflow Preventer Assembly Testing in Colorado is regulated by the Department of Public Health & Environment, and the state rule 11.39(1)(h) on page 248 it states “Certified Cross-Connection Control Techinican means a person who possesses a valid Backflow Prevention Assembly Tester certification from one of the following approved organizations ... American Backflow Prevention Association ( ABPA ) "
The APBA exams use the USC 10th Edition testing procedures. On our YouTube Channel, we created a series of videos where we test the four types of preventers using these procedures:
Reduced Pressure Principle (RPZ) - USC 2-Valve Procedures
Double Check Valve Assembly (DCV) - USC Procedures
Pressure Vacuum Breaker (PVB) - USC Procedures
Spill Resistant Vacuum Breaker (SVB) - USC Procedures
