Backflow Prevention Assembly Testing in Indiana is regulated by the Indiana Department of Environmental Management, and listed on Page 29 of the IDEM Backflow Prevention Manual are the entities that can certify technicians, also shown below:
Indiana School of Backflow and Cross Connection ( they are cool because they do the USC 2-valve procedures instead of 3 or 5 valve )
Indiana State Pipe Trades Association
Test Gauge and Backflow Supply
ABPA ( American Backflow Prevention Association ) is listed also but unclear if they accept the national certification or just the local Indiana chapters courses
No we don't. This website is mostly set up just to exist if we end up doing courses in the state at a later date.
Courses in Indiana utilize the USC 10th Edition testing procedures. On our YouTube Channel, we created a series of videos where we test the four types of preventers using these procedures:
Reduced Pressure Principle (RPZ) - USC 2-Valve Procedures
Double Check Valve Assembly (DCV) - USC Procedures
Pressure Vacuum Breaker (PVB) - USC Procedures
Spill Resistant Vacuum Breaker (SVB) - USC Procedures
